Banana Palm Watercolour Wallpaper !

Working on some new skills, thanks to the amazing Cass Deller (watercolour extraodinaire).  I love digital art so much, but I wanted to dive into the unknown... of analogue!

Here is a little wallpaper I created from my first attempt at a watercolour leaf (yay!)

We all love greenery, and we all love freebies!

I created some artwork close to my heart.  It contains the most important message in the world.  If everyone grasped how loved they really are, the world would be a different place.

Dirty Dancing

Will always be one of my favourite quotes from one of my favourite movies. Β

Happy Australia Day!

I hope yours is full of snags, surf and sand.

Fun Fact #1: The Golden Wattle is Australia's National Flower.

Sweet 16

Years ago, I used to be in a children's band called 'Rocfish'.  As part of my work duties, I was in charge of the Compassion stall we would set up after each show.  This is where I met Darlyn.  She was only 8 years old when I started sponsoring her, and it has been a pleasure to watch her grow up into a beautiful, intelligent young lady.

In her last letter to me she told me that she wanted to be a 'Great Graphic Designer' when she finishes school.    Maybe one of my past letters inspired her to choose the same path as myself!

Her 16th Birthday is coming up, and I designed her a special birthday postcard I am sending with my most recent letter.  It reads 'Darlyn Dayana Diaz Pena is Sixteen', or so Google translate tells me!  Fingers crossed it makes sense!

I hope she likes it!

Summer Series

Summer is by far my most favourite season of the year.  On most Saturdays you find me sprawled out on the beach, covered in oil!

In memory of Summer 2015/16, I have decided to put together a series.  I have taken inspiration from my recent holiday to South West Rocks.  Plus, it gives me an excuse to work on my brand new Wacom Intuos Pro which has been so fun.  I can't get enough of it!

This is my first illustration in the summer series!  Inspired by my brand new Triangl bikinis.

Stay tuned for more Summer fun!
